the academy
Established in 1996 by Cathy and Gordon Birt, Set Point Tennis Academy celebrates 25 years of excellence in tennis coaching. Teaching toddlers to adults, the Academy team creates a caring environment that helps players grow, develop their skills and enjoy tennis.

Founder of Setpoint Tennis Academy. Former international and Wimbledon tennis player. Cathy was the Great Britain Under 21 Champion three times, ranked eighth in Great Britain and reached a world ranking of 150. She was head of women’s tennis at the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and is an LTA qualified professional tennis coach (level 5 highest qualification).
tom dixon
Tom has played international tournaments in Europe and Africa, and is an LTA qualified professional tennis coach (Level 3).

Gordon Birt
Founder of Setpoint Tennis Academy and former international and Wimbledon tennis player. Gordon coached the South African Junior Team, the British National Squad and eight international players who ranked in the top 20 in the world.
